I've been cutting down dozens of these palma brujas or witch's palms. They are pure evil.

They have six inch thorns, which are toxic and cause joint swelling (arthritis). Our cat got one all the way through her foot.

They are also a pest environment. This one had nests of fire ants, poisonous caterpillars, and cockroaches. Worse, it attracts the local drunks, who trespass onto our farm to make wine from the sap.

They all must go.
