Just got back from a (very fun) charity event to help some indigenous Ngäbe-Buglé people who were illegally and violently evicted to make room for a hydro dam. Rubber bullets used on children. Property rights are so important for a humane society. You can't ruin a river ecosystem people depend on without any penalty. And for what? Panama already produces twice the electricity it uses. They can't eat electricity, and the land is legally theirs.
