FFAB Diet: Fruit, Ferments, Animal Based

Introducing the FFAB diet: Fruit, Ferments, Animal Based.

This diet is designed to maximize nutrients and minimize anti-nutrients. I designed it over the years, experimenting with keto, carnivore, paleo, and probiotics.

Animal based foods and fruits are generally very safe and nutritious. Fruits are low in inflammatory and irritating phytotoxins like lectins, oxalates, and other things plants produce to protect their leaves, seeds, and other body parts. So far, this is similar to many "carnivore" or "carnivorish" diets.

The key addition to this diet is fermentation. Fermentation breaks down toxins and anti-nutrients, from pesticides like glyphosphate, mycotoxins like aflotoxin, and phytotoxins like lectins. Additionally, fermentation improves nutrient absorption and provides abundant probiotics.

In practice, anything remotely toxic should be fermented before eating. It's OK to eat high anti-nutrient foods like vegetables, nuts and seeds, and non-organic foods, but only if you let the microbes take first crack at them. Given 48 hours, most toxins will be broken down.

Of course, certain things should never be eaten. Plastics, preservatives, industrial seed oils, most processed food ingredients. Never.

Stick exclusively to whole, natural foods, eating animals head to tail. Ferment anything questionable. Follow your gut.
