☯ Yin Yang guide · FAQ
Frequently asked
A few honest answers. I am a fellow traveler, not a priest of a school and not a rival to yours.
What is this guide?
My experience of awakening, shared plainly — through words, dreams, the body, and what is actually here. Poems I wrote in the dark. Videos filmed at my dining table. Enter where you already are. It is not a course platform, not therapy, and not a religion.
Is this Taoism?
No — and it is not trying to be. The ☯ is here because opposites arise together, contain each other, and are never the whole by themselves. That rhyme with yin–yang and wu wei is real. I sometimes use those words carefully. This is still one person’s lived map, not a Taoist lineage or curriculum.
If you already walk a Taoist path, you may recognize cousins. If you do not, you do not need a certificate in Chinese philosophy to look at a word that is stinging.
Is this Christianity? Does it replace faith?
No. I have used Christian language — God, temple, Babylon, Jesus as a mystic among other readings — because that is part of my story. This guide does not ask you to convert, leave a church, or throw scripture away. It also does not speak for any denomination.
Demons, angels, and God can be met on more than one level without correcting someone’s faith into “just metaphor” or into rigid literalism. If your Christianity is living and honest, this work can sit beside it. If another faith — or none — is yours, the same courtesy applies.
How does this relate to science?
As a friend of honesty, not as a rival religion. Linguistics showed me how words build models. Physics belongs with the physical layer: there is no pure black or white in the material universe — thresholds, not absolute purity (I talk about that here). So do dishes, weather, other people’s actions, and time. Math, theory, and Platonic solids are clean shapes under Symbols; the physical only sketches them. The nervous system carries backlog and craving — I speak from experience there, not as a clinician.
When a scientist says something is impossible that science has not ruled out, that is dogma wearing a lab coat. When a mystic ignores measurement, that is costume wearing a halo. I try to hold the bridge.
A few lines in the language lessons I first spoke more strongly than the studies allow — the age window, what words model, the cardinal and the lexicon. The correction is Where this meets science.
What about Plato, archetypes, Jung?
Useful lenses. Clean ideals, archetypes, maths, and Platonic solids (a steady father, divine masculine / feminine as teaching tools) live in the Symbols layer for me — learn from them, live them roughly in the physical. Jungian maps can help name a shadow or an anima; they are not identity dogma. Dreams may show an ideal as image first; that does not make the dream the museum of the ideal. More in Forms and reflections.
Do I have to start with language?
No. Language is where I started, and where many people can first get a handhold. If a dream, a sensation, or a quiet sense of Unity is louder today, enter there. The Map shows how they connect.
Is this therapy or medical advice?
No. If you are in crisis, unsafe, or dealing with illness, medication, or addiction withdrawal, please reach trusted people and qualified professionals in person. Detox can be dangerous without medical care. This guide never replaces that.
What is the Companion?
An agent on Google Gemini trained on this guide and the Dark Night poems — not me, not a therapist. One honest look at a time. Open the ☯ Yin Yang Companion.
Will there be a game someday?
Maybe. I have imagined a 3D world in the browser you could explore and expand — through these same rooms of the work — toward Unity, maybe even a gesture beyond. That would be a large project. It is noted as a future idea, not a promise with a date. For now: the guide, the poems, the Companion.
